Australian CRC Program
The CRC Program is one of AusIndustry´s Innovation Programs. Cooperative Research Centres (CRCs) are designed to encourage collaboration between industry, educational institutes and government by transferring research outputs into commercial or other outcomes of economic, environment or social benefit to Australia. The CRC Program is an Australian Commonwealth Government funded program.

CRC Association
The CRC Association was established on 1 December 1994; most of the Cooperative Research Centres are members. The CRC Association represents members' views on issues of generic importance to CRCs and their operation, allows members to share experience and practices, and helps to promote awareness of CRCs and the CRC Program.

  • Australian Water Association The Australian Water Association (AWA) is an independent national association of individuals and organisations interested in all aspects of the water industry. AWA has a total membership of about 4,000 including individuals from a broad range of disciplines, including engineers, resource managers and public health professionals.
  • Centre for Ecological Economics and Water Policy Research The Centre specialises in the development and refinement of policy options and the evaluation of economic, social and financial implications of policy and project scenarios for the public and private sectors
  • CSIRO Land and Water CSIRO Land and Water is a provider of world-class science services specialising in research on soil, water and atmospheric processes essential to the understanding and sustainable management of land and water resources in Australia and internationally.
  • NAIAD Database This online knowledge repository was developed by the CRC to to facilitate the sharing of lessons learned from innovative urban water schemes among planners, local governments, and practitioners. New case studies are added continuously, and users can register for email notification of updates.
  • The National Water Commission is responsible for helping to drive national water reform and advising the Prime Minister and State and Territory governments on water issues. The Commission is also responsible for managing the implementation of the National Water Initiative - the blueprint for national water reform - and implementing two programmes of the Australian Government Water Fund - the Water Smart Australia programme and the Raising National Water Standards programme.
  • New South Wales - Water Directorate Membership of the Water Directorate is open to all councils and county councils providing water supply and/or sewerage services to local government areas in NSW.

  • VicWater - Victorian Water Industry Association VicWater is the peak water industry organisation in Victoria. It represents the three metropolitan retail companies, the fifteen non-metropolitan urban authorities and the four rural water authorities.
  • Waterwatch Australia Waterwatch brings together schools and community groups, landcare groups, and landowners, councils and water authorities to maintain and improve water quality across the country.
  • Water and Public Health Website from the Water Unit of NSW Health with information on drinking water, recreational water quality and effluent managment and reuse.

Founded in 1881, AWWA is the largest organization of water supply professionals in the world.

  • Canadian Water Network CNW was established through the Network of Centres of Excellence Program of the Government of Canada and includes many of Canada’s leading researchers in water, as well as broad representation of both government and industry interest
  • Canadian Water Resources Agency CWRA is a national organization of individuals and organizatons interested in the management of Canada's water resources, including private and public sector water resource professionals, managers, administrators, scientists, academics, students and users.

  • Foundation for Water Research (UK) An independent, non-profit making organisation that promotes and disseminates research on all aspects of water, wastewater and related environmental issues.
  • Global Water Research Coalition The GWRC was formed in May 2002 by twelve leading international water research organisations. The GWRC aims to address international issues related to drinking water, wastewater, water supply, and renewable water resources through international cooperation and collaboration in water-related research.

  • International Irrigation Management Institute (Sri Lanka) IIMI aims to improve food security and the lives of poor people by fostering sustainable increases in the productivity of water used in agriculture through better management of irrigation and water basin systems.
  • National Institutes for Water Resources (US) The National Institutes for Water Resources comprise a network of 54 Research Institutes in every state of the USA, which conduct basic and applied research to solve water problems unique to their area.
  • National Sanitation Foundation (US) NSF International (NSF) is a private, independent, not-for-profit organization which develops and maintain voluntary standards particularly relating to health and the environment.
  • Office for Water (UK) The economic regulator for the water industry in England and Wales
  • Office of Water (US) The Office of Water is part of the Environment Protection Agency, and is responsible for implementing the Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act, and portions of many other Acts, Statutes and Conventions.

  • UK Water Industry Research UKWIR manages research and development contracts on behalf of the water service operators in Scotland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales.   • Water, Sanitation and Health Programme of the World Health Organisation. WHO works on aspects of water, sanitation and hygiene where the health burden is high, where interventions could make a major difference and where the present state of knowledge is poor.
  • WaterwebThis site aims to facilitate the sharing of information about water and the environment. The organization has a global focus with initial participants from North, Central & South America and Europe.
  • Water Wiser - Water Efficiency Clearinghouse (US) This is a cooperative project of the American Water Works Association, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, and aims to become the preeminent resource for water efficiency and water conservation information.
  • WES-Net India The Water and Environmental Sanitation Network India is a learning alliance of stakeholders in the Water and Environmental Sanitation sector, including NGOs, UN agencies, private sector, consultants, government departments and donors. The network was established in December 2004.

  • Healthfinder A gateway consumer health and human services information web site from the United States government.
  • Health Protection Agency (UK) Created in April 2003 from several existing organisations, the HPA provides an integrated approach to health protection and reducing the impact of infectious diseases, poisons, chemicals, biological and radiation hazards. Includes publications on communicable diseases and disease surveillance.
  • National Center for Infectious Diseases(US) NCID is committed to the prevention and control of traditional, new, and reemerging infectious diseases in the United States and around the world.
  • National Institute of Health (US) The National Institutes of Health with 24 separate Institutes, Centers and Divisions, is one of the world's foremost biomedical research centers, and the Federal focal point for biomedical research in the U.S.
  • NOAH (New York Online Access to Health)(US) NOAH seeks to provide high quality full-text health information for consumers that is accurate, timely, relevant and unbiased. NOAH currently supports English and Spanish.
